Covenant Health, in partnership with Alberta Health Services, is seeking an Adult Intensivist to join our dynamic and collaborative Critical Care team based primarily at the Misericordia Community Hospital (MCH) in Edmonton, Alberta. This locum position includes regular clinical responsibilities and participation in night coverage. FTE allocation will be finalized at the time of hire.
The Misericordia Community Hospital is a major referral centre serving northern Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and northeastern British Columbia, with a catchment area of over 1.5 million people. The hospital offers: 24/7 emergency services; Cardiac care units; Large Medicine and Surgery Program; Neonatal, women’s, family, and mental health programs; and Specialized services aligned with diverse community needs.
Qualifications
Hold an MD and FRCPC designation.
Possess Royal College certification (or equivalent) in Critical Care Medicine, or plan to take upcoming RCPSC Critical Care Medicine Exam.
Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment with the University of Alberta’s Department of Critical Care Medicine.
Demonstrate willingness to participate in resident teaching and support clinical research initiatives.
Consider supporting the Misericordia Post-ICU clinic and/or the Prolonged Ventilation Program.
