Recovery Alberta, is inviting applications from Family Physicians interested in providing services to psychiatric inpatients at the University of Alberta Hospital.
This opportunity involves 0.5FTE at the at the UAH AMH inpatient programs. The position requires active participation within a multi-disciplinary team including; psychiatrists, counselors, nurses, and various other clinical and administrative support roles. Physicians provide medical services to patients including primary care, writing/reviewing prescriptions, coaching and counseling, initiating medical protocols based on assessment, completing medicals, liaising with community practitioners, referral for ongoing treatment and regular consultations as well as medical leadership within the team.
Remuneration is fee for service.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an MD and a CCFP designation.
