Recovery Alberta is inviting applications from psychiatrists with expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Our multi-disciplinary teams consisting of psychiatry, nursing, psychology, social work, occupational therapy, speech and language pathology, and education provide assistance for more than 1.6 million people in Edmonton Metropolitan Region.
This Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist position provides tertiary level psychiatric consultations to children and youth who are triaged into the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Tertiary Clinics and/or the Assessment Classroom (day program). The Tertiary Clinics and Assessment Classroom receive physician referrals and the psychiatrist provides psychiatric consultation and follow up as needed within a multidisciplinary team to children and adolescents with complex needs.
An interest in the education of residents and students is highly desirable and the successful candidate is expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Alberta.
Remuneration is fee-for-service.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry and preferably have subspecialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. S/he must also be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
