We are recruiting a Community General Internal Medicine (GIM) physician to join the Edmonton Corridor in a high-impact, forward-thinking role focused on expanding access to specialist care through community-based and virtual care models.

This position is ideal for a physician who enjoys variety, systems-level impact, and innovation, while maintaining strong clinical grounding in General Internal Medicine.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support and help advance GIM clinical outreach across suburban hospitals within the Edmonton Corridor, including:

  • Urgent Access Clinics providing timely specialist assessment

  • Consultative GIM services at suburban hospital sites

  • Virtual Hospital Care and other emerging care delivery models
  • Participation in the ongoing design and evolution of community-focused GIM services

This role offers meaningful opportunities to shape how internal medicine is delivered outside traditional inpatient settings.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Clinical Department Head for General Internal Medicine.

 

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Hold independent licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) at the time of application
  • Be eligible to practice General Internal Medicine in Alberta
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and comfort working across multiple clinical sites
