This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services.
Job Description:
We are seeking a General Otolaryngologist with an interest in the management of vestibular disorders.
Responsibilities include:
• Diagnose and manage general ENT conditions.
• Assess and manage patient presenting with dizziness and balance disorders.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Continuous and recent engagement with the latest medical research developments and advancements in ENT and vestibular medicine as evidenced by contributions to academic publications, presentations and research initiatives in vestibular medicine
Qualifications:
- Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
- Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
- MD degree: Canadian or International
- Canadian or International specialist certification in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery
- Has held an academic rank at the level of an Assistant Professor or equivalent for at least 18 months
- Demonstrates commitment to clinical undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum development
- Demonstrates commitment to advancing clinical and academic medicine specifically in the field of vestibular medicine as evidenced by publications in this specific field
- Higher academic degree in the field of vestibular medicine would be an asset
- Demonstrates commitment in being part of a multidisciplinary team managing patients suffering from vestibular disorders.
- Licensure or pathway to practice medicine in Alberta, Canada.
