As a Radiologist joining our Calgary team, you will work onsite within a supportive outpatient setting, partnering closely with technical teams across modalities and local operations leaders to deliver accurate, timely, and compassionate patient care, with a direct role in leading your clinical team to deliver quality patient care across a broad range of imaging studies and image-guided minor procedures. 

Working in partnership with technologists, physician colleagues, and operational leaders, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imagining reports, support workflow questions, share insights that enhance image quality and consistency, and contribute to ongoing improvements focused on patient access and remarkable care. Your leadership in clinics ensures patients receive clarity through our care while our teams continue to grow and thrive in their careers.

What You'll Be Doing
• Provide Diagnostic Imaging Services: Interpret and report on a broad range of imaging studies, including X-ray, ultrasound (general body, MSK, breast, obstetrical, and vascular), mammography (screening and diagnostic), GI fluoroscopy, and bone mineral densitometry. Deliver accurate, timely readings that support safe and effective patient care.
• Perform Image-Guided Procedures: Complete MSK and basic spine interventions for pain management using fluoroscopy and ultrasound, ensuring patient comfort, safety, and clear communication throughout each procedure. Breast, thyroid, and lymph node biopsies are helpful but optional.
• Enhance Clinic Operations: Partner with clinic teams, operational groups local leadership, fellow Radiologists, and other Physician specialists to maintain reliable, well-structured workflows across CDC's Edmonton clinics.
• Build Partnerships: Develop strong relationships with referring Physicians by providing clear communication, dependable turnaround times, and high-quality diagnostic support that builds trust and confidence in CDC services.
• Champion Remarkable Care: Maintain a patient-centered approach by ensuring compassionate, understandable, and professional communication that helps patients feel informed and at ease throughout their imaging journey.

 

Qualifications:

  • Radiology Credentials: Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Diagnostic Radiology, or an equivalent recognized qualification.

  • Licensure Eligibility: Eligible for full registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta in Diagnostic Radiology. Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA

  • Mammography Expertise: Canadian Association of Radiologists mammography accreditation, or eligibility to obtain that accreditation.

  • Professional Membership: Active CMPA membership.

  • Billing Eligibility: Eligible for an Alberta Health practitioner ID and billing number to support service delivery within the Province
