Recovery Alberta, in partnership with the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, is inviting applications from Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist to take on the role of Psychiatrist at the University of Alberta Hospital (UAH) in the Department of Addictions and Mental Health.
The Adult Psychiatry Team at the University of Alberta Hospital provides a comprehensive range of services to various interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary programs. Services include:
· Psychiatric assessments and consultation services to adult inpatient medical/surgical programs including ICU/CCU/Burn Unit in a busy tertiary/quaternary acute care hospital.
· Participation in the on-call schedule for general adult psychiatry emergency services and after-hours consultation to medical/surgical programs.
The candidate will be expected to be involved in Recovery Alberta and the University of Alberta program development initiatives and will be required to fully utilize AHS IT systems and processes, including Connect Care.
Remuneration will be based on fee-for-service billings submitted to Alberta Health.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an MD and must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Psychiatry for licensure in the province of Alberta.
