Covenant Health, in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for an Emergency Physician position at Mineral Springs Hospital in Banff, Alberta.
The Banff Emergency Department operates under a single-physician coverage model with limited resources and requires applicants to be comfortable practicing independently in this setting. This three-month locum opportunity includes a total of 34 shifts, consisting of 10 shifts in January, 14 shifts in February, and 10 shifts in March. Shifts will include a combination of day, evening, and night coverage.
Given Banff's proximity to several major ski resorts, physicians are expected to possess experience and confidence in managing trauma cases patients. Orthopedic trauma represents a significant portion of the department's winter patient volume and extra training in fracture management/casting is a valuable asset.
Candidates must hold either CCFP-EM or FRCPC Emergency Medicine certification, be licensed in the province of Alberta (CPSA) and have valid CMPA coverage.

Required:
· Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
· CCFP-Em or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine.

Preferred:
· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
· Paediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
