Facility Medical Director - NLRH

Alberta Health Services (AHS) is inviting applications from inspiring and strategic physicians for the position of Facility Medical Director (FMD), Northern Lights Regional Hospital (NLRH), a facility that proudly combines innovative technology and highly skilled clinician providers to provide a range of healthcare services including a 24 / 7 emergency department.

Reporting to the Zone Medical Director, the Facility Medical Director is a key leadership position within the North Zone and AHS.  The FMD works collaboratively in a dyad partnership with the Senior Operating Officer for NLRH and North Zone Area 10 to jointly oversee NLRH’s operations. 

The seniormost physician leader at the facility, the FMD supports and develops physician workforce, promotes a collaborative, patient-centred culture, and represents the facility to external stakeholders.

This 0.6 FTE position is located in northeastern Alberta in Fort McMurray.
