Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a General Practitioner (Family Medicine) to join a full-time, rewarding practice in the stunning mountain community of Banff, Alberta. This unique role offers a diverse and engaging scope of practice across multiple care settings.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive Family Medicine services and participate in shift coverage and on-call duties at Banff Mineral Springs Hospital.
Scope of Practice
This position offers a broad and fulfilling clinical experience, including:
- Outpatient and community-based Family Medicine
- Inpatient care
- Acute care services
- Continuing care
- Community clinic work
Applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
Required Experience & Credentials
- Certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
- Recent experience in independent Family Medicine practice
- Proven ability as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) across a broad patient population
- Experience in both inpatient and community/private practice settings
Preferred Credentials
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
