Cancer Care Alberta is inviting applications from physicians interested in providing General Practitioner services to the Oncology Outpatient Program at the Regional Cancer Centre in the North Zone. The position requires active participation within multidisciplinary oncology teams involved in the delivery of systemic treatment and patient care at the Grande Prairie Cancer Centre in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
This opportunity involves providing sessional outpatient clinics at the Grande Prairie Cancer Centre. The successful candidate will provide consultation, assessment, and management for patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cell therapy. The role includes monitoring patients undergoing outpatient systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, and targeted therapies. Responsibilities include managing acute treatment-related toxicities, adjusting doses and treatment plans as appropriate, providing infusion support, and completing visit documentation and summaries. The physician will also provide ongoing surveillance and follow-up for patients who have completed treatment, monitoring for cancer recurrence and treatment-related complications.

Qualifications include an MD, and eligibility for CPSA licensure in the Province of Alberta. Previous training and experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or equivalent are required.
