Position Description:

The Department of Pediatrics (DoP), invite applicants to apply to this Locum 0.20 FTE Pediatric Endocrinologist position at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, within Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone, Section of Pediatric Endocrinology. This position is funded by the Alberta Academic Medical Health Services Plan (AMHSP).

The term for this role is May 1, 2026 until August 31, 2026.

This position is for a Locum Pediatric Endocrinologist with 100% clinical duties. The successful candidate will be required to participate in general endocrine outpatient clinics and has the option to share in weekend calls equally with the members of the section. The clinical work will consist of 8 half day clinics per month. The successful candidate will have demonstrated commitment in clinical innovation as well as experience in teaching all levels of medical trainees. They will be expected to participate in collaborative research work in pediatric endocrinology pathology or in quality improvement of pediatric endocrinology clinical care.

Qualifications:

Must have Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. 

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write, and speak English.
