Position Description:
The Department of Pediatrics (DoP), invite applicants to apply to this 0.35 FTE Locum Pediatric Rheumatologist position at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, within Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone, Section of Pediatric Rheumatology. This position will be remunerated through the Alberta Academic Medical Health Services Program.
The locum position is to cover clinical work for the period starting April 1 2026 with an end date based on the availability of the successful candidate and the needs of the section.
The successful candidate will work a 0.35 FTE appointment which would consist of approximately 160 clinical half-days (5 hours per half day) divided among the inpatient and outpatient pediatric rheumatology services. Weekend and evening on call responsibilities will be required as part of the service commitment. The successful candidate will participate in section meetings, clinical care rounds, radiology rounds when possible and provide on-service and in-clinic teaching to students, residents and fellows. Preference will be given for individuals who can cover the entire locum position, but consideration will be made of successful applicants who are able to provide a portion of the coverage required. More than one physician may be hired into this position.

Qualifications:
The Candidate must have a Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology subspecialty certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write, and speak English.
