Covenant Health and the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, invites applications for a Generalist Obstetrician/Gynecologists to be based at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. The start date for this position is flexible.
The successful candidate will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, University of Alberta. This will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry which has been internationally recognized as among the world’s top 50 medical schools and as one of Canada’s premier health-education institutions and is located in Edmonton.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in Department Committees, and in Medical Student and Resident education.
Required:
· MD or equivalent.
· Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
· Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
· Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
· Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.
· Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.

· Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
· MOREOB/Advances in Labour and Risk Management (ALARM)
