The successful candidate will have medical and surgical experience and expertise in the identification, work-up, and treatment of anterior and posterior segment uveitis, including the care of complex, advanced, and urgent cases. He or she will be comfortable collaborating with other departments, such as Rheumatology, to help manage complex and resistant uveitis.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Licensure: Licensed in good standing, or eligible for licensure, with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
  • Education: Completed a residency in ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship: Completed a one-year uveitis fellowship.

There are on-site hospital call and clinic, plus on-site teaching responsibilities at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Operating room time is available. Clinical teaching experience, clinical research capacity, and publications are an asset for the position. Committee work is expected.
