Position Description:
The Department of Pediatrics at the Alberta Children’s Hospital invites applications to apply for a part time (0.20 FTE) AMHSP Pediatric Cardiologist position. This position is within the Section of Pediatric Cardiology and the primary work site is at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. This position is funded by the Alberta Academic Medical Health Services Program (AMHSP).
The target start date for this position is November 2, 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for cardiac MRI (program administration, protocols and reading). There will also be several opportunities for collaboration with strong ties between Pediatric Cardiology, Neonatal Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care, Adult Cardiology, Medical Genetics, Diagnostic Imaging and Stollery Children's Hospital. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain an academic appointment within the Cummings School of Medicine.

Qualifications:
The candidate must have a Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology subspecialty certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Training in pediatric heart failure and heart transplantation, including management of pre-transplant evaluation and post-operative and long-term heart transplant follow-up from an inpatient and outpatient perspective is required.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
