The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Department of Pediatrics, invite applications for a 0.2 FTE position. This position is funded by the Alberta Academic Medical Health Services Plan.
The target start date for this position is July 1, 2026.

The successful candidate will have 100% time committed to clinical activity. The clinical activity will include outpatient consultation service, ambulatory care in the GI Clinic, motility and endoscopic procedures. The position will include GI clinics, both on site and virtual, Medical Day Unit visits, scheduled clinical encounters outside of the physician’s usual clinic time, as well as physician telephone referrals and advice, specifically related to questions/investigations around GI Motility. This position is solely outpatient based and will not have any on-call component.
This position will be responsible for expertise in GI motility at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and will provide care for a complex group of patients with motility disorders in Southern Alberta.
The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology is comprised of 11 specialists and is based at the state-of-the-art Alberta Children’s Hospital. The Department of Pediatrics has over 500 clinical and academic faculty members who are part of the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary.
The Alberta Children’s Hospital services the City of Calgary and the residents of Southern Alberta, SE British Columbia and SW Saskatchewan: a catchment area of ~ 3 million people. Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have additional subspecialty training in performing and interpreting GI motility studies.
Candidates must have the following qualifications: MD, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write, and speak English.
