Description:
The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Department of Pediatrics, invites applicants for a Pediatric Gastroenterologist, 0.2 FTE AMHSP position to provide ambulatory care in the Home Enteral Nutrition Clinic (HENT) as well as other multidisciplinary clinics. The successful candidate will have 100% time for clinical activities.
The target start date for this position is November 1, 2025.
The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient medical consultation, including consultation to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Eating, Feeding and Swallowing Service and Nutrition Services, unscheduled patient visits, approvals for enteral feeding pumps, and replacement and removal of outpatients’ enteral feeding tubes. Other requirements include liaising with Interventional Radiology and Surgery for initiation, care planning, and telephone and Telehealth consultations.
The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition is comprised of 11 pediatric subspecialists and is based at the state-of-the-art Alberta Children’s Hospital. The Department of Pediatrics has over 300 clinical and academic faculty members who are part of the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have the following qualifications: MD, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write, and speak English.
