Acute Care Alberta (ACA) invites applications for the role of Physician Advisor within the Physician Advisor Network (PAN).  These positions will provide medical leadership and direction within the new provincial program of Trauma Care Alberta. 

Physician Advisors provide strategic clinical input to ACA initiatives, including project advisership, committee participation, and system-wide evaluation. Advisors work closely with ACA leadership to support planning, operational improvement, and quality enhancement across acute care services.

Roles and Responsibilities
•    Provide expert clinical input on ACA provincial programs, projects and strategic initiatives, with a focus on improved patient outcomes
•    Participate in orientation, meetings, and assigned advisership activities
•    Collaborate with ACA programs to enhance patient-focused health system oversight 
•    Maintain accurate records of time and deliverables
•    Adhere to ACA’s confidentiality, compliance, and billing protocols
 

Qualifications
 
Applicants should have relevant clinical experience and an interest in contributing to system-level improvement. 
Candidates must:
•    Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta
•    Have experience in strategic advisership, committee work, or clinical leadership (preferred)
•    Hold privileges within a Health Service Delivery Organization (HSDO) in Alberta
 
Compensation
 
Physician Advisors are compensated hourly for meetings, and advisership activities. Reimbursement for mileage and overnight expenses is available in accordance with ACA’s compensation framework.
