The Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, University of Alberta and Alberta Health Services, Edmonton Zone, invites applications for an Academic General Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgeon. The primary site of practice for this position will be at the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

 

The Section of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery provides service to the City of Edmonton and surrounding communities, with specialized care in all aspects of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery has a busy and comprehensive residency and specialty training program.

 

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in a busy tertiary care institution, working cooperatively with a multi-disciplinary team. The successful applicant will have a job description which will include a commitment to clinical care delivery, education, research and administration.

The successful candidate must hold Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons registration in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (or recognized equivalent). Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated interest in surgical education.

 

The successful applicant will hold a special continuing appointment in the Department of Surgery, University of Alberta.
