Clinical Nephrologist AMHSP

Alberta Health Services, Department of Medicine, in conjunction with the University of Calgary invites applications for a 1.0TE clinical nephrologist. Experience with multidisciplinary care for individuals with kidney disease is required. 

Additional specialized training in Glomerulonephritis and autoimmune disease is needed.   

65% clinical service in all areas of nephrology including ambulatory care (CKD, General Nephrology, GN), dialysis, hospital inpatient and consultation. Emphasis for ambulatory care is on Glomerulonephritis and Autoimmune disease.  Weeknight and weekend call (up to 8 weeks of service, 2 half day clinics/week). 

15% education in the Division of Nephrology and Department of Medicine (Continuing Professional Development, Fellowship and Resident Training) and the Cumming School of Medicine (Undergraduate Medical Education) with focus on Glomeulonephritis and autoimmune disease.  

20% research / quality improvement initiatives within the field of Glomerulonephritis. Expectation of involvement in clinical trials. 

Be an integral part of the Nephrology team in Calgary, utilizing strong collaborative skills to support and contribute to the overall clinical, research and education mission of the Section. he Section of Nephrology is strongly committed to work life integration and section members will be expected to take 4 weeks of vacation and at least one week of conference leave yearly.
