Job Description:

At Gorman Medical and Specialty Center, located at 15366 18 St NW, Edmonton, Alberta, we proudly serve the local community with a wide range of healthcare services. Our clinic provides Family Practice, Walk-In Visits, Chronic Disease Management, Mental Health Assessments, Minor Laceration Care, and access to a Specialty Center on site.

Our dynamic team of Family Physicians, PCN professionals, and support staff is dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients of all ages - from newborns to senior citizens.

The successful candidate will play an important role in improving patient health outcomes through comprehensive and preventative care strategies and will provide the following services:

Deliver comprehensive primary care services to individuals of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, respiratory disorders, mental health conditions, and addiction medicine.
Perform minor in-office procedures and surgeries.
Promote preventative healthcare measures by ensuring vaccinations and regular health screenings are up to date.
Encourage and support healthy lifestyle choices for patients and families.
Take a proactive approach in identifying and addressing emerging health concerns.
Participate in after-hours on-call coverage.

 

Qualifications:

  • Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA 
  • Completion of the TDM Examination is considered an asset and is preferred.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for applying for and maintaining a Community Appointment with Alberta Health Services within the Department of Family Medicine.
