Position Description:
Alberta Health Services, Calgary Corridor, invites applications for the role of Corridor Clinical Section Lead, Developmental Pediatrics, Department of Pediatrics.
This 0.10 FTE position, governed by the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules, reports to the Corridor Clinical Department Lead of Pediatrics.
The Corridor Clinical Section Lead, Developmental Pediatrics is a leadership role contributing guidance and advice for strategic planning, project development and quality care for patients receiving clinical care through the Section of Developmental Pediatrics. This medical-administrative leader will work with the medical leadership team contributing to expert guidance and advice on matters within the Department of Pediatrics.
This leader position is accountable for ensuring effective support at the site level for patient safety, quality management, teaching and research, promoting educational programs and developing/promoting departmental research activities for section members. The role will also support recruitment and retention of physicians to the section and liaise with other site medical leaders.

Qualifications:
The candidate must be an experienced academic physician with a strong record of excellence in research, education, service and/or clinical care. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated abilities in communication, conflict resolution, mentorship, collegiality, strategic thinking/ influence and a passion for quality and patient care.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated leadership and mentorship experience.
Applicants must hold an MD and Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent) in Pediatrics and Developmental Pediatrics.
Clinical experience in Developmental Pediatrics is required.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write, and speak English.
