The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting a Generalist Obstetrician & Gynecologist. Expectations of this position include acute care coverage of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The position will be given a 0.67 FTE allocation of Obstetrical and Gynecologic call, as well as a commensurate amount of Operating Room days at the RGH (Rockyview General Hospital) with right to pick up additional days and Procedure rooms if they come available. Regular work in the Rapid Assessment Clinic would be assigned as it becomes available. The individual will be expected to have a community clinic, providing antenatal and gynecologic consultation and on-going care. The individual will participate in and provide clinical education of medical students, residents and other health care trainees in the Calgary Zone. Participation in the academic goals and objectives of the department are expected. Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and preference will be given to a candidate with Royal College Subspecialty Certification. All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cumming School of Medicine University of Calgary.

Qualifications:
FRCSC Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Incumbent must be an active member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member in good standing.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English.
