Locum Generalist Obstetrician Gynecologist

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting a 0.5 FTE Locum Generalist Obstetrician and Gynecologist at the Foothills Medical Center from January 01, 2027 to August 31, 2027.  The FMC group provides general Obstetrics and Gynecology in an environment that has strong support from subspecialists such as Maternal Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, and Gynecological Oncology.  The locum would be expected to provide Generalist OBGYN practice at Avivo Health Alliance with 2-3 obstetrical clinics per month along with 2 gynecologist clinics per month. The FMC is a busy level 3 center that performs ~4000-5000 deliveries per year and values strong collaborative relationships with neonatologists and low risk obstetrical care providers.  This is a fee for service position with general obstetrics and gynecology call as well as assigned OR time commensurate to the FTE, with right to pick up additional days if they become available.  It is an expectation that the recruit has experience working in a tertiary center and performs consultative obstetric and gynecologic care in an outpatient setting. Opportunity for on-site clinic space exists.  Participation in the academic goals and objectives of the department are expected. Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
