In a competent and professional manner, the Contractor will:
Work collaboratively with the Manager of the CSART and Domestic Violence program on strategic planning and program development.
Oversee on-going recruitment, engagement, and retention of CSART physicians.
Complete performance reviews with participating physicians in line with medical staff bylaws and rules.
Manage any physician performance concerns.
Coordinate the training of physicians and participate in the training of CSART nurses in collaboration with the Clinical Program Coordinator for Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence, educators with Calgary Communities Against Sexual Abuse (CCASA), Calgary Police Service RCMP and the Luna Centre.
Develop, in coordination with other CSART team members and leadership, protocols for management of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence patients assessed and cared for by the CSART team.
Oversee physician team quality assurance, including clinical patient care and proper documentation expectations from a clinical and judicial perspective.
Act as a liaison and resource to other medical and non-medical members/partners of the Calgary Sexual Assault Response Team.
Provide medical leadership representation for CSART at Primary Care Alberta committees as required.
Provide education and support to communities, health care providers, and other health service partners in the Calgary Corridor to ensure the highest standards of care for individuals experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault.
Examine issues brought forward by physicians, nurses and allied health and non-health partners of CSART, which impact on the daily functioning and care of CSART patients.
Collaborate with team members and community partners in the provision of education regarding sexual assault.
Leadership, communication, organizational, change management, team building and facilitation skills.
Skill in developing and providing resources, consultation, and collaborative support to stakeholder teams.
Experience in supporting and promoting clinical best practice and experience as a change agent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate positive relationships and passion for patient safety.
