In a competent and professional manner, the Contractor and Practitioner will:
Oversee medical services required by Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic patients in collaboration with other members of the health care team.
Provide clinical support to all team members.
Review and make recommendations on the care of challenging patients.
Collaborate on policy development and policy review within Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic.
Collaborate on service and service restructuring.
Provide input to the Manager regarding the hiring of non-physician staff.
Oversee on-going recruitment, engagement, and retention of CSART physicians.
Complete performance reviews with participating physicians in line with medical staff bylaws and rules.
Manage any physician performance concerns.
Collaborate with educational institutions to provide educational opportunities for medical students, medical residents, and other health care professionals.
Support ongoing professional education of the team members.
Provide medical consultation to Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinic research projects/activities.
Enable participation in collaborative research projects/activities with other partners.
Participate in Primary Care Alberta committees relevant to SRH program needs.
Leadership, communication, organizational, change management, team building and facilitation skills.
Skill in developing and providing resources, consultation, and collaborative support to stakeholder teams.
Experience in supporting and promoting clinical best practice and experience as a change agent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate positive relationships and passion for patient safety.
