The Department of Medicine is looking to recruit a new Associate Medical Director of Anticoagulation Management Services within the AHS Calgary zone, with a start date of January 1, 2025. This position is open to current physicians within the Department of Medicine and has an AHS leadership stipend associated. This position will work closely with and report to the Medical Director of Anticoagulation Management Services. Responsibilities will include helping with managing and evaluating the anticoagulation management services within the Calgary zone, ensuring that policies and practices are up-to-date, evidence-based, cost effective and consistent with provincial policies/programs. The role involves supporting healthcare provider education, working on VTE prophylaxis accreditation, and supporting the development of reports. This position works closely with pharmacy and helps to support the delivery of optimal anticoagulation management practices within the Calgary zone. We’re passionate about what we do. Qualifications:
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Must read, write, and speak English.
