The Department of Pediatrics (DoP), invite applicants to apply to this 1.0 FTE, Academic Medicine and Health Services Program (AMHSP) position at the Alberta Children’s hospital, within Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone, Section of Pediatric Endocrinology.
This position is a 1.0 FTE (50-70% Clinical, 15-40% Research, 15-30% Education with leadership opportunities being available for the right candidate. The clinical portion of the position is the provision of full array of subspeciality pediatric rheumatology consultation and follow-up in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. A proportional amount of on-call services on evenings, weekends and statutory holidays will be provided by this physician.
The preferred candidate would have the leadership skills to be considered for the section chief role for the section. The physician is expected to have a defined research focus where their research allocation will actively help advance academic work in appropriate subject areas. The physician will contribute, in proportion to their FTE, to undergraduate, resident and continuing medical education.

The Candidate must have a Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology subspecialty certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
