The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS) Calgary Zone, the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary is actively recruiting for a Locum Generalist in the Department based at the Peter Lougheed Centre. This is a 0.3 FTE 12 month locum generalist OB/GYN position. The selected candidate will be allocated 0.3 FTE worth of call to cover acute Obstetrics services as the Obstetrician on call. If the call shift is at night, or weekends, they will be expected to also cover the on call Gyne service as well. This is a clinical role, and there is no expectation to contribute to administrative or research requirements, although there is an expectation to provide bedside teaching to our learners during the shift. There will be an opportunity to pick-up additional call shifts if they become available. The locum is not expected to contribute a panel of prenatal patients to the call group but may be asked to see patients for follow-up (or arrange alternate follow-up plans with members of the PLC group). Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and preference will be given to a candidate with Royal College Subspecialty Certification. All candidates will be required to have clinical academic appointments with the Cumming School of Medicine University of Calgary.

Qualifications:
FRCSC Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Incumbent must be an active member of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a member in good standing.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English.
