Medical Lead, Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP), Calgary Zone

Required Qualifications
 

A minimum of eligibility for medical licensure in Alberta is required, with preference for Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases certification by the Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or an equivalent professional body and at least 5 years’ clinical experience in inpatient Infectious Diseases and three years’ experience in a leadership role in clinical services or healthcare operations.
 

Additional Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to investigate institution/zone-wide suboptimal antimicrobial use, identify contributing factors, engage with appropriate stakeholders and develop innovative solutions for complex issues. They will be an effective communicator, including managing challenging team interactions, and have strong organizational skills, exemplary work ethic, and commitment to providing long term high-quality services. Ethical decision making and experience in policy and guideline development are required, in addition to a commitment to achieving established goals and objectives and ensuring program delivery measurements and standards in a large organization.
